IMMUNE SYSTEM ESSENTIAL OILS

Immune System EOs (Remember, Essential Oils are way more potent than herbs.)
1. Eucalpytus Essential Oil- loosens phlegm and relieves congestion. The secret to its effectiveness is a compound called 1,8-cineole, which has powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. (Keep away from children!) Not meant to be ingested. Diffuse only.
2. Frankincense Essential Oil- Scientific experiments have found a direct link between this oil’s ability to lower inflammation and an enhanced immune system. Used topically, it reduces inflammation, kickstarts the immune response, and fosters tissue remodeling for faster healing. A study comparing frankincense to the antibiotic Ciprofloxacin found that this oil was as effective as Cipro against many harmful microbes. Frankincense also quells free radical damage thanks to its antioxidant potential.
3. Oregano Essential Oil - Lab research has discovered that oregano essential oil inhibits a variety of viruses including antibiotic-resistant herpes simplex, rotavirus, and some respiratory viruses and norovirus, a highly-contagious foodborne infection responsible for the “stomach flu” and food poisoning, due to Oregano’s carvacrol, a terpene that breaks down the tough exterior wall of the virus. Oregano also is a powerful antibacterial, thanks to high levels of the active compounds: carvacrol and thymol. When pitted against a variety of common infectious microbes, researchers discovered that oregano oil kills Salmonella, E. coli, and several types of Staph. A 2017 study also found that oregano essential oil boasts strong antioxidant properties, adding to its immune-stimulating capabilities.
4. Thyme Essential Oil produces a high level of antimicrobial and non-specific immune activity. In one study evaluating 120 strains of bacteria common in humans, thyme essential oil was effective against a range of infectious bacteria, including staph strains and treatment-resistant strains like MRSA. Thyme oil was also effective against the bacterial strains Enterococcus and Escherichia.
5. High in monoterpenes, Wild Orange Essential Oil possesses stimulating and purifying qualities, making it ideal to support healthy immune system function when used internally. It can be taken daily to cleanse the body or used on surfaces as a natural cleaner.
6. Taken internally, Lemon Essential Oil provides cleansing and digestive benefits and supports healthy respiratory function.
7. Clove Essential Oil: Internal use has powerful antioxidant benefits due to its powerful antioxidant properties.
8. Cinnamon Essential Oil helps maintain a healthy immune system when taken internally.
9. Copaiba is a powerful immune support Essential Oil. Copaiba oil contains the highest levels of β-caryophyllene (BCP) among currently known essential oils. When Copaiba is consumed, the BCP binds to receptors to aid healthy immune and inflammatory responses. It also influences multiple signaling pathways to promote healthy liver, digestive, kidney, heart, and brain function. With its wide influence on key organs, BCP supports general well-being. Copaiba provides powerful antioxidant benefits when taken internally.
10. Rosemary EO - Internal use may help support healthy respiratory function.
11. DoTerra Essential Oil company has an immune system protective blend of oils containing Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Leaf, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Leaf, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower essential oils. The blend is called "On Guard." I've researched various Essential Oil companies, and I think that doTerra is the best.
